MLL Graduate Student Awards  

(Every Spring | Nominations made by faculty) 

 

Outstanding Teaching Award

The Outstanding Teaching Award is presented each year to an outstanding graduate instructor in the MLL Program. A nomination letter (500 words) of student’s excellence in the classroom should be provided, along with demonstrable evidence of excellence; such as examples of innovative teaching activities (advanced use of technology in the classroom, civic engagement, etc.), teaching evaluations by language directors and undergraduate students. Student’s Cv and transcript and teaching evaluations should be submitted with the nomination.  

Outstanding Graduate Student Award

The Outstanding Graduate Student Award is presented each year to an outstanding fourth- or fifth-year graduate student in the MLL Program A nomination letter (500 words) should accompany the nomination along with demonstrable evidence of excellence in graduate work and research. For example, students who participate and cultivate intellectual  and cultural community in the department and University, are attending professional conferences, publishing, or otherwise active on campus and in their fields. Student’s Cv and transcript should be submitted with the nomination

Santiago Achugar Díaz Outstanding Graduate Student Award

The Santiago Achugar Díaz Outstanding Graduate Student Award is presented each year to an outstanding graduate student in the MLL Program with notable contributions beyond the classroom to the university, the community, or the profession. A nomination letter (500 words) should accompany the nomination detailing the significance of the contributions beyond the classroom. Student’s Cv and transcript should be submitted with the nomination
