When we need additional partner universities or when we need to replace a partner university, we identify and contact potential partner universities in other countries and, if they are interested in participating in our VIP, we initiate a process for certifying that they possess the equipment and are able to implement the protocol necessary for successfully participating in language exchange programs and that both of these are compatible with the University of Miami’s equipment and operational procedures.
Once, all these requirements are met, the program coordinator at the University of Miami will, each semester, share an online calendar schedule with the times and dates of available classes/students. The partner university faculty/students can then select what times and dates are most convenient and reserve them. The UM program coordinator then shares with each partner institution the schedule of all sessions that are offered that semester.
